Originally from Michigan, Dr. Myers moved to Maine in 1987 after completing a hospital residency program at Harvard and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. His undergraduate degree in biology and his dental degree were both earned at The University of Michigan. Upon first arriving in Maine, he worked for a short time as an associate dentist and opened his private practice in 1990.
During the mid-90’s he associated himself with the Pankey Institute located in Key Biscayne, Florida. The institute is a world renowned dental continuing education facility that focuses on comprehensive care of the dental patient. After completing the several levels available, Dr. Myers became one of the first dentists to achieve the status of Pankey Scholar. His vast experience and education is paramount in his ability to diagnosis and treat complicated cases. Dr. Myers is also an active member of the Greater Portland Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He has lectured locally, on the national level and in Canada on practice philosophy and comprehensive care of the dental patient. He runs a local study club and mentors local young dentists with practice and clinical skills.
